now, let's talk about some remarkable concepts that were used in films.

e.g. the 1995 film - Judge Dredd, many of you must hv seen it.

the film introduces an intelligent weapon, a gun known as "The Lawgiver", which is designed to recognize only a police's hand otherwise it gives a super-shock, nearly killing or damaging the movement of it's illigal user.

the recognition is carried out by recognising the DNA structure of the user through the skin contact of user with the gun.
Where the DNA of user is matched with that in the centralized Database of DNA of all police officers.

Also, evrytime a police officer uses the gun, his DNA structure is numerically coded on each bullet that is fired, so that he can be recognized if situation demands. e.g. illigal encounters & supressing the witnesses, unnecessary destruction, etc.

also we should credit the story writer for 'Terminator' series, i mean who could hv imagined way back in 1984, about such disastrous effect of a network going uncontrolled. also it tells that the terminators were microprocessor controlled.

no wonder, but a series named "Knight Rider" came in 1982, featuring a micro-processor controlled car.
